Shares on Bursa Malaysia remained high at mid-morning today on continued gains in Tenaga Nasional.
As at 11.23am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM LCI) increased 8.92 points to 1,827.07.
However, a dealer said losers led gainers 301 to 239 on profit taking, with 275 counters unchanged, 751 untraded and 20 others suspended.
Turnover was at 442.48 million shares, valued at RM564.59 million.
The Finance Index eased 1.35 points to 16,700.05, the Plantation Index fell 0.24 of a point to 8,859.31 and the Industrial Index was 31.71 points lower at 3,142.37.
The FBM Emas Index increased 50.97 points to 12,648.35, the FBMT100 Index advanced 52.89 points to 12,382.61, and the FBM 70 rose 29.33 points to 14,203.24, while the FBM Ace slipped 1.89 points to 5,561.37.
Among actives, Tenaga Nasional was RM1.27 higher at RM11.16, while DSC Solutions lost 6.5 sen to 16.5 sen and XOX gave up half sen to 14 sen.
As for the heavyweights, CIMB improved eight sen to RM7.63, Maybank shed four sen to RM9.78 and Sime Darby lost six sen for RM9.59.
